Garden
Stretching to the north and east of our community central area are approximately. 3ha gardens, fields and meadows belonging to Temi.In some of these areas a variety of different fruit trees have been planted in the last few years.
Because of other projects, the garden inside the central area has been repeatedly forced to move.
Since 2009 we have steadily cultivated an area of about 100sqm, on which we practise organic and bio-dynamic gardening.
Here we cultivate several different herbs and vegetables: Beetroots, zucchini, salads, beans, tomatoes, squashes, pumpkins, onion, garlic, eggplants, peppers...
On the fields we plant potatoes, sojabeans, beans, corn, carrots...
We have a tea-herbs-garden with rosemary, thyme, melissa, sage (Salbei), fennel, lavender.
We also plant herbs, which are vital to the georgian kitchen: Koriander, parsley, basil, dill and beansherb.
During the years 2009, 2010/11 irrigation pipes were installed in the garden areas, so we can sufficiently water the gardens in the hot summer time.
We always need a lot of helpers and volunteers to work in the garden.
The first priority of the gardens is to feed the community.
